We use the latest technology to customize your vision exam based on your daily visual needs.
A refraction test is performed to determine your glasses or contacts prescription, color vision,
depth perception, and ocular muscle testing may also be conducted.
In the second part of the exam, the health of your eyes is analyzed. Each patient has the option of obtaining a detailed digital image of the inside of their eye taken with our retinal camera. Dr. Fell then carefully evaluates your eyes for glaucoma and other diseases such as cataracts and macular degeneration, in addition to analyzing how your overall health could be affecting your eye health. OPTICAL
At Pioneer Vision you will find over 400 frames and sunglasses in a variety of styles,

Note: If you have worn contacts before please bring your past contact lens prescription with you (such as the old boxes) so that we can see what brand, power, and base curve you are used to wearing. PEDIATRIC EYE CARE
The American Optometric Association recommends eye exams for children at age six months,
three years, right before first grade and every year thereafter. Since vision is so important
in nearly all school activities, ranging from learning to social interaction and sports, a
thorough eye exam is a great way to kick-off the school year.
Pediatric eye exams commonly uncover near or farsightedness and astigmatism, which blur vision and make learning more difficult if left uncorrected. Other conditions commonly detected in children include eye teaming, tracking and focusing problems that also can interfere with learning. Children who suffer from these types of vision problems may not enjoy school, may avoid reading and will simply not perform as well as they could. SPORTS VISION CARE
Each sport has its own visual demands, which is why we use the latest technology to assess your
unique visual system and recommend proper eyeglasses, contact lenses or LASIK. Sometimes a vision
therapy program is recommended to maximize your visual skills for your specific sport. Whether
you are a select baseball player, soccer player, or a weekend athlete, you will benefit from a
comprehensive eye exam.
Specific tests in a Sports Vision Examination may include:
After conducting a sports vision examination, we analyze and compare the visual results to known professional data (comparing your results to professional athletes), which identifies areas that may need to be improved. This helps maximize the visual function of the athlete, and overall performance in a sport will likely be improved. DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF EYE INFECTIONS & DISEASES
From conjunctivitis to diabetes and glaucoma, Dr. Fell is specially trained to diagnose and treat short-term and
long-term eye diseases. As a therapeutic optometrist, he is credentialed to prescribe both oral and ocular medications
to treat eye conditions, and works with his patients to prevent the initial onset of disease. He does this by working
closely with their family physician to emphasize controlling such risk factors as high blood pressure, blood sugar
and cholesterol levels.
Dr. Fell takes the time to develop a long-term relationship with every patient. This extensive understanding of each patient’s unique history and life outside of a medical concern enables him to design a complete care plan, including lifestyle changes for a longer and healthier life. After each visit with Dr. Fell, his patients gain a better understanding of ocular health, wellness, and disease prevention. REMOVAL OF FOREIGN OBJECTS FROM THE EYE
Accidents happen and it is important to properly care for foreign objects
that have become lodged in the eye. This includes objects such as metal,
wood chips, glass or plant matter.
